  • 160g beef, diced or minced
    Olive oil
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 clove of garlic, chopped
    1 medium carrot, chopped
    1 stick of celery, chopped
    1 120g can of chickpeas, butter beans or diced potatoes
    1 120g can of red kidney beans
    1 240g can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 of a capsicum, diced
  • To Serve with Chilli Con Carne

    • Sour cream or yoghurt
      Small handful of Parsley
    • Lime wedges
    • Corn chips

  • 500g beef, diced or minced
    Olive oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves of garlic, chopped
    2 medium carrots, chopped
    2 sticks of celery, chopped
    1 400g can of chickpeas, butter beans or diced potatoes
    1 400g can of red kidney beans
    1 400g can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 small capsicum, diced

    To Serve with Chilli Con Carne

    • Sour cream or yoghurt
      Small handful of Parsley
    • Lime wedges
    • Corn chips

Cooking Method

Heat the oil in a heavy based pan.  Add the onion and cook until soft and starting to brown. Add garlic, Chilli Con Carne Spice Blendz and meat and combine well.  Cook until the meat has changed colour.

Add the tomatoes, drained and rinsed kidney beans, balsamic vinegar, diced capsicum, chickpeas, butter beans or cubed potatoes, carrot and celery.  Combine well and bring to the boil.  Reduce heat to low and cook for approximately 1 hour or until meat is cooked and vegetables are tender.  Garnish with parsley.

Serve with sour cream or yoghurt, lime wedges and corn chips.
