Shopping List

 

          Date and Mango

  • ¾ cup of Basmati rice/splash of oil
  • 1cup of chicken stock    1 shallot
  • 1 ripe mango or 1 sml tin of mango
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped dried dates
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped mint
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley

       

    Garden Vegetables

  • ¾ cup of Basmati rice/splash of oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon each of garlic and ginger minced
  • ¼ capsicum, sliced
  • 1 cup of beef stock
  • ¾ cup of mixed vegetables [/twocol_one_last]

          Date and Mango

  • 1 ½  cup of Basmati rice/splash of oil
  • 3 ½ cup of chicken stock    3 shallot
  • 2 ripe mangos or 1 large tin of mangos
  • ½  cup of chopped dried dates
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of chopped mint
  • 1 ½  tablespoons of chopped parsley

                       

Garden Vegetables

  • 1 ½ cups of Basmati rice/splash of oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon each of garlic and ginger minced
  • 1 capsicum, sliced
  • 3 ½  cups of beef stock
  • 3 cups of mixed vegetables

Cooking Method

DATE AND MANGO RICE

Wash the rice and put into a saucepan with the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Add chopped shallot/s to the rice and the packet of Spice Blendz Date & Mango the one with the yellow dot and combine well.
Dice the mango and dates and after 20 minutes of simmering add the rice. Cook for a further 5 to 10 minutes until all is cooked. Stir in the parsley and mint.

GARDEN VEGETABLES

Add the oil to the pan on a medium heat and add onion, garlic and ginger. Combine well and cook until onion has softened. Add the capsicum and Spice Blendz Garden Vegetable spice mix combine well and cook for 1 minute. Add the rice, vegetables (if you are using frozen vegetables wait until the rice is nearly cooked) and stock and stir through. Reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked
