Pork & Mango Mild
Contents : cumin, black peppercorns, black mustard seeds, turmeric, chilli & ginger
Small – Serves 2
- 500g pork spare rib strips, cut into slices
1 onion, chopped
½ fresh Mango sliced/ tinned / dried mango
¼ cup sultanas
½ cup chicken stock
150 ml cooking cream
Large – Serves 6
- 1 1/2 kg Pork spare rib strips, cut into slices
2 onions, chopped
1 fresh Mango sliced/tinned mango/dried mango
½ cup sultanas
1 ½ cups chicken stock
400 ml cooking cream
Heat a large saucepan over medium high heat with 1 tablespoon of oil. Brown pork in batches until golden. Set aside. Add the onion to the pan and cook for 6-8 minutes.
Stir in Spice Blendz Pork & Mango spice mix and cook for a further 1 minute before adding mango, sultanas and then add chicken stock. Bring to a simmer before returning pork to pan. Cover tightly and simmer over low heat for 1 hour or until pork is tender. Add cooking cream and adjust salt to taste. Return pan to a simmer for 1 minute.
Tip – if using dried mango soak in water for 30 minutes before hand.
Serving Suggestion – Our pork and mango is complimented with steamed rice and vegetables.
